I never have enough space in the fridge to try something like that!

Leigh - Any sort of bottle would do as long as it's clear or clearish. I've seen milk jugs, juice bottles, plastic cookie tubs etc.. I even saw one where they used plastic bags with a small water bottle tied in the top as a vent and structure support. I just happened to find the pop on sale and knew the kids would like a treat. I've got juice bottles for the next round.Ninahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07049476969325691637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7020052182194661163.post-67430896646750169972011-02-14T21:39:39.309-05:002011-02-14T21:39:39.309-05:00Very interesting Nina. Indoor seed starting is a new arena for me, so I'm taking notes.Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02435811789823712254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7020052182194661163.post-39158826309130949382011-02-11T07:57:28.370-05:002011-02-11T07:57:28.370-05:00I'd use this method for plants, which need str...I'd use this method for plants, which need stratification! when I put them out in normal trays, there's always a risk that birds start eating my seeds! actually I just heard in the forecast that we might have wintry showers over the weekend - might be enough to start the few varieties I bought but thought I'd have to start them in the fridge:)) thanks for the reminder!Woolly Bitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11961632742998726155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7020052182194661163.post-22419568744493464142011-02-10T13:51:25.927-05:002011-02-10T13:51:25.927-05:00I've never wanted to plant from seed, mostly b...I've never wanted to plant from seed, mostly because I have no place to put them while they germinate. This is a great idea. I may have to try it, especially for tomatoes! Always the hardest part is protecting the plants from nasty rodents and waskly wabbits.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06432035940956042729noreply@blogger.com
