Colourful Autumn

We had lots of rain this summer.  Autumn, normal quite rainy, has been super dry into almost drought conditions in some areas.  A friend's ponds have water levels down at least 5 ft and one she says is really just a puddle.  As well, our weather has been unseasonably warm.  It's been one bonus day ( mild, sunny or just mild - not frosty or cold) after another. I appreciate every bonus day we get because at any time the weather could turn and it will be parkas, mitts and toques.  However, because of this warmer weather, we've had only patchy frosts, which seem to have mainly hit the golf courses.  This can means delayed colour changes for our trees, and sometimes less colour.   Despite all this, our colours, although I've heard that they weren't as spectacular as further north in the Algonquin area, have not been shabby this year at all.
